IAMDYNAMITE, or Why You Can Stop Crying Over the White Stripes

Remember when the White Stripes called it quits, leaving us all with a void unable to be filled by anything else?

Jack and Meg had that uncommon knack – hits and talent. There’s this weird, curvy, always changing line that separates the one-hit wonders from the talented and/or hard working people actually skilled at an instrument. Even though there’s nothing that could replace them, there is hope.

That hope is in a band called IAMDYNAMITE. You’ll like them for a couple of reasons:

1). They’re good. I say it simply because it is that simple. Christopher Martin (guitar, vocals) is killer at guitar and singing. Same goes for drummer/vocalist Chris Phillips – killer drummer, killer vox.

2). They own it and you can currently watch them own it live. IAMDYNAMITE is on Sum 41’s Does This Look Infected? 10th Anniversary Tour. This is how you can expect greatness from this band. They opened before Hunter Valentine, before Sum 41 and immediately proved that the stage is where they belong. Energy, not too much talking and letting their music speak for itself is what these guys do best.

Such a great band! I just recently came across these guys, since they’re on tour with one of my favorite bands, The Virginmarys. I definitely recommend downloading their new song “Dead Man’s Shoes” too, since it’s free on their site right now 🙂 http://smarturl.it/VMTrackDL
