Creative Control Magazine is an independent, music-centric online magazine looking to expand. Right now, we need writers who are looking to gain some experience finding your voices as you write about someone else’s.
We do reviews, interviews and opinion pieces about music, and are always interested in pitches from writers about potential pieces. Our focus is on independent, up-and-coming, lesser-known artists, but we occasionally feature larger acts as well. Overall, we’re not too picky. We’re just passionate about music and talking about it.
This is an unpaid internship, but is a chance to gain some experience as a writer. This opportunity is ideal for college students; we’ll work with you and your school to get credits for classes. However, you do not have to be a student to apply. Anyone looking for writing experience is welcome to apply. Prior music writing experience is appreciated and awesome, but not required.
The job is remotely located, so contact will primarily be through phone and email. All stories will be shared through Google Drive – access to this is required for the position.
Those interested should send an email to jobs [at] creativecontrolmag [dot] com with the following items: a brief description of why you’d like to work with Creative Control Magazine, your favorite .gif, your resume and two writing samples.
