The Boy From The Crowd – Revelator

No matter what anybody tells you, punk’s not dead. The proof is in The Boy From The Crowd’s “Revelator.”

“Revelator” is a mix of the best parts of rock and punk. The vocals will make you feel like Joe Strummer has come back from the dead and added a splash of Johnny Rotten for good measure. The instrumentation is what you’d expect from a punk song – drums and rhythm guitars keeping a beat while another guitar does a little strumming and shredding as if off in another world. Somehow, though, all the pieces come together to make a cohesive song. Thus, providing the magic that is punk rock.
